30 day product review!! Introducing Aveeno Clear Complexison bb cream in fair to light oil free SPF 30

Aveeno Clear Complexison bb cream in fair to light oil free SPF 30 Review

It has been a long time since I found a bb cream/foundation I can fall in love with.

This product came to the rescue just in time.

2 weeks ago, a gigantic pimple started to grow on top of my nose. It was painful. I tried toothpaste + evologie method (will have a future post on this later, it is SO EFFECTIVE) and contained the growth but I still had to cover it up in order to go to work everyday.

I had this bb cream for month, but didn't really use it. At first, I thought it was too drying so I tried to stay away as often as I could. Since I was breaking out, I thought I will give this a go for a week.

1) Very good coverage for a bb cream. It has coverage like a foundation. Covered up all my spots, pores and redness.
2) Blend-able. I use my hand to apply this because it might be too dry to use a brush.
3) Has SPF 30, clear complexion properties and oil free.

1) fair to light is very light as you can see in the picture. I recommend going a shade up your normal shade.

2) Since it contains high SPF, it will give you that "dewy" glow, this bb cream is not friendly with flash photography. However, you can always wear a light powder over it.

3) Might feel a little greasy at first until it settles into your skin.

overall, new fav foundation. Yay!

August 2013 IPSY bag review

Belated post on IPSY (myglam) August bag

The products:

The bag:

And what's inside!

1) MICA beauty cosmetics shimmer powder in 17 bronze - A beautiful rose gold shimmer powder. This can be used as eye shadow or highlighter above cheek bones. I love it!

2) Pacifica alight multi-mineral bb cream - Another bb cream for us to try. It has a light texture and very blend-able. Feels like lotion. I feel it has no special far.

3) Pixi lash boost mascara -

"Specialized, buildable formula along with oversized brush delivers extreme volume & intense colour in one sweep. Separates, lengthens, and plumps each lash for a false lash look without clumping. Smudge-proof. Water-resistant. Ophthalmologically approved. Paraben & fragrance free
Beneficial ingredients and what they do:
 Vitamin E nourishes
 Panthenol strengthens lashes
Bamboo extract fortifies & helps to retain moisture"

I would not recommend this mascara to asian lashes. It will not hold the curl and plus it is not watep-roof. It literally immediately melted unto my eye lids.

4) Michael Todd Jojoba charcoal scrub - not oil free but it claims it is suitable for all skin types. I did not experience any breakout problems with this product. It also gives you a tingling feeling on the face like its cleaning. I like it. Full product is only $18. Might get this for my next scrub.

"Unique facial scrub formulated with Jojoba Wax Beads and Activated Charcoal to effectively remove dead skin, impurities and toxins. Jojoba Wax Beads provide gentle exfoliation without leaving microlacerations on delicate skin. Highly absorbent Activated Charcoal penetrates deeply into pores to draw out impurities and toxins. Refines texture and encourages skin renewal, leaving skin smooth and refreshed.
All skin types.Gentle enough for sensitive and acne prone skin types."
5) Urban Decay Revolution lipstick in anarchy - creamy, long-lasting, flattering, hydrating, nourishing. This hot bubble gum pick color will flatter any skin tone but specially a tanned skin. I loved it at the beach! After eating the tint is still on my lips.

August Birchbox

Another month, another present for myself in the mail!!!

What's in the August Birchbox box?

1) Becca - Radiant Skin satin finish foundation (comes in different skin tones but in sample sizes)
2) I.C.O.N CURE replenishing spray (leave in conditioner)
3) Jasmine Seven Fresh Feet Wipes (Wipes for the feet!)
4) Juice Beauty Oil Free Moisturizer ( for oily & acne prone skin. YAY!)
5) Miss Jessie's Original Super Slip Sudsy Shampoo for dry, frizzy, tangled hair

Overall, this month contained products from brands that are not that "famous", except the juice beauty product which is a regular in the past Birchbox boxes.
That being said, If none of the products fit my needs, I would have been VERY disappointed. However, since I am looking for a radiant foundation, leave-in conditioner for on the go, a new moisturizer that won't break me out, this month's box actually gave me some new products to try! Maybe one of these will become a favorite?

I will post updates on how these products work on me.

Sorry for the lack of reviews, I have been very busy because of this cute face below:

Say hello to GINGER!
