First of all, let me start by saying how excited I am for this month's IPSY bag! Five products and I'm excited to try them all! Yay for the holidays!

1)  Marc Anthony Hydrating Coconut Oil Shea Butter Deep Nourshing Conditioning Treatment - What a mouthful! I am super excited to try this on my dry and damaged full and thick hair!
Bonus, it smells so nice.

2) Jersey Shore Spa Antiaging Lip & Hand Polish (all natural) - smells like butter pecan! YUM! The name of the brand is certainly interesting. Honestly taste like brown sugar and butter. No, I didn't eat it. I accidentally tasted while testing on the lips. I swear...:)

3) Pacifica Power of Love Natural Lipstick (100% vegan) in tender heart - cruelty free, recyclable, natural minerals only. Quick! Use code MTMPAC at for 10% off!

For real though, commercial is over...check out the one coat swatch though.

4) Glamour Dolls double trouble eyeshadow in new dress - They must know packaging is everything these days. The colors are copper shimmer and mud gold shimmer. See one coat swatches on my fingers below. (Sorry for the long nails 😅).

5) Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay finishing powder - love it! I actually almost bought this in full size (blindly). It's always a good thing to try it first! I loveeee their Amazonian Clay powder foundation so I am sure I will like this one!

November IPSY unbag! Beauty Blast

Hello, coldness of the winter. You are finally here! After a lovely (and warm) October, we are braced with the cold once again! Since the holidays are almost here, I don't mind at all. I can't wait for all the festivities that are coming soon.

This month's IPSY bag is pretty amazing. It's a bright colorful galaxy print that is so eye catching and unique. I can't wait to switch out my current makeup bag and use this one.

1) Tucker Ashley perfecting moisturizer - This one is suppose to be scentless and gentle for different skin types, as well as act like a protective barrier for your skin...naturally. I would say that it is not as moisturizing as I thought it would be. But it does feel pretty light and refreshing on the skin. Winter winds I am ready!!

2) Dermelect peptide infused nail lacquer - I am excited to rotate into this type of nail polish. The color is pretty unique and I do not currently own. It's a neutral brown-peach tone. This nail polish is suppose to give you long lasting and smooth color. I will let you guys know about this one soon!

3) Smashbox Full Exposure mascara - I was not excited to see this to be honest. I got this in the last package of IPSY right before I cancelled last time...The mascara has a HUGE wand that is not fit for asian eyes are all. It is smudgy and does not add volume or curl.

4) Navy eye liner - I have no idea how I got this and the product above with my profile selections on IPSY. This is a brave color to use daily. It definitely stands out against brown eyes.

5) treStique nude lip - Another nude lip product!!! Ah, *insert super sad face here*.

Overall, I was happy with the bag more than any products in the bag this month. Maybe better luck next time!

30 Day Review Ft. Too Faced Born This Way Foundation

I was first drawn to this foundation because of the amazing YouTube reviews. I don't think I have heard of a bad review on this product so I HAD to try it out. It is claimed to be a weightless, oil free foundation full of things that's good for your skin while being able to provide medium to full coverage. Flawless and naked makeup, to sum it up in two points.

First of all, I appreciate all liquid foundation that comes with a pump. It makes life so much easier. The Nars sheer glow doesn't have one. As much as I love that foundation, I use it less and less because it makes a mess! ( FYI, the newer versions for sheer flow comes with a pump!)

Secondly, the liquid itself is between thick and watery consistency. I think it's the perfect consistency. A LITTLE BIT GOES A LONG WAY.

The shade I use is light beige ( I have lost all my tan from the summer). At first the shade looks a little light on my skin but then the color settles and comes to match as it dries.

The lasting power is pretty good. I would say 5-6 hours for combination skin type, a little bit more for dry skin and less for oily skin gals.

It feels very weightless on my skin but if you accidentally put too much, It will look cakey. After a month of trail and error, I  realized that you MUST wear a serum or moisturizer underneath. I apply this with a wet beauty blender. It's kind of hard to blend with hands since it is such a heavy coverage. Also, to prevent foundation from looking cakey, the trick is to wet your foundation brush or sponge!

1) MICA cream eye shadow in Bronze. Honestly, way too copper for my skin color. :(

2) theBalm Meet Matt(e) Long last lip color. It is VERY matte but at the same time very dry. Staying power is okay. Between making dinner tonight and writing this blog post, the color is already gone.

3) Eva NYC Hair mask - Haven't tried it yet but if I love it you will definitely hear about it again!

4) Peter Lamas Expoliating PUMKIN scrub  - Oh my, everyone is definitely hearing our Pumpkin craze for the fall!!! I love the idea but I will keep trying to see what it does for my skin. :)

Monthly Lovables (Featuring Amore Pacific IOPE Air Cushion XP)

Hi Loves!! I am so excited to be writing this post. One, I passed two big licenses that I have been studying my butt off for! Now, it's time to focus on things I (un)prioritized in the last couple of months. That brings me to number two, I am absolutely thrilled to have time to blog again.

Even though I have been busy studying, I did not stop exploring products in the beauty world!

I bought the IOPE air cushion before the start of the summer. I researched my options on cushion foundations because I really wanted to see what the hype is about. I also wanted a foundation that is dewey and does not look caky.

I watched videos on youtube, googled and added different products to my cart (Ha!). I finally decided to try IOPE because every demo I have seen the models with the most fresh AND glowy skin. I originally got the N23 (the darkest shade available) because I wanted sheer coverage for the summer. After I loved it so much, I got the C23 refills because "C" series has more coverage.

Original N23 compact set (includes mirror, cushion foundation and sponge puff)

C23 cushion refill (includes cushion foundation and sponge puff)

Pros of this product:
1) Super dewey looking fresh skin
2) "N" is sheer but it is still medium coverage for me. "C" is perfect coverage.
3) Non-oily. Lasts up to 8 hours with primer and setting spray.
4) Sweat-proof if used with primer.
5) Nice packaging.
It doesn't break easily (because I dropped it a couple times at the gym and it's still one piece!)
6) One cushion lasts A VERY long time (with daily use).
7) Sponge puff it comes with is high qualify and similar to the texture of the beauty blender!

Cons of the product:
1) Limited shades available.
2) It's not sold in the US and shipping takes a bit longer!

How I use this product:

Since this this product is Korean, the shade N23/C23 is still very light to me. I would say it's a beige rather than a medium beige. If I put this all over my face I would look ghostly. I think this is more due to the fact that I got a darker tan from the summer. With that being said, I use this only for my cheek bone area, the middle of forehead, and nose. This can easily replace a shimmery highlighter if you want that glow without the glitter.

Here is a non-filtered picture of my #FOTD after using IOPE (in combination with other products I will write a full post about later :).

Back to School and Homecoming

How exciting it is for another school year! Time to make new friends and absorb more knowledge to get us closer to our dreams. :) Seriously though, when I was in school I was not very excited about the learning part (bad example kids, don't learn from me). The eager to learn mentality did not reach me until I was I college and found my passions (that's for another blog post!)

I was more excited for all the events that comes with the school year. Homecoming is the first major dance and every girl wants to look their best to impress that one special boy!

Landy Bridal recently reached out to me and presented me their selection of cheap prom dresses. I am so impressed with the selection of dresses they carry (and not to mention the cheap prices). I browsed their endless selection of prom dresses and I don't know how to only choose one! For taller girls, I recommend going with a length that is below your knees. For shorter girls, I recommend dresses right at the knee length. If you are worried about any problem areas, go for dresses that are elegant and less structured but still have an uniqueness to it and so it distracts the eye (see the dress here). For girls that are more daring, I love love LOVE the color of this dress, shown here. For shorter length dresses but still look classy, here is a nice dress that is full of lace and elegant.

When you purchase a formal dress, you can use it in multiple ways. Here is a dress that can be saved and used for a special event (such as a wedding, holiday party). The color is eye catching and the cut around the waist is sexy but yet flattering. The added bling just gives the dress a more put together look. Here is a similar version of the dress but in a darker color.

If you are really looking to wow, take a look at this light blue mermaid dress. I love this dress so much that I wish I have an event to wear this! If you are looking to be more neutral but still remain effortless elegant. Take look at this dress, you will definitely turn some heads.

No matter what makes you feel beautiful, it is important to remember that all you need to be is you because YOU are unique and beautiful in your own way.

Weddings, weddings everywhere :)

It's hard to find a wedding website that carries a huge selection of wedding gowns AND bridesmaid dresses. It's even harder to find inspirations that calls out to you. My fiancé and I are always busy answering emails from a dozen vendors to sort out details of our wedding (wedding planning in full swing! WOOHOO!), and it made me realize how important it is to find someone that can offer more than one of the products/services for what you are looking for.

I recommend Aisle Style for amazingly picture perfect dresses and gowns. Let's window shop! Here are some of my favorite :)

Some lost vacation photos

Dreaming of that turquoise water, the seaweed smell of the wind, golden sands that burns the feet, the taste of daiquiris, hand in hand with love of my life...

Can you spot the White House?
